GLASGOW – Hunter Witty, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away at his home in Glasgow, Kentucky, on March 13, 2026. Born in Glasgow on September 26, 1997, Hunter was a vibrant soul whose presence brought joy and laughter to those fortunate enough to know him.

Hunter was known for his fun-loving, free-spirited personality. He had a natural gift for making people laugh and was always ready with a joke or playful prank, brightening the days of friends and family. His infectious spirit and warm heart were evident in every interaction, leaving lasting impressions of kindness and humor.

An avid sports fan, Hunter especially loved cheering for the Indianapolis Colts. Beyond the excitement of sports, he found peace and happiness in nature through his favorite pastimes—fishing and kayaking. Hunter treasured spending time with friends and family, often accompanied by his love of music that added rhythm to these moments.

Hunter’s family was a central part of his life. He is survived by his mother, Karen Witty; brothers, Logan Witty (Emma Harwood), Andrew Witty, and Alex Witty. He was also deeply loved by his special great-aunt, Virginia Simmons; aunts, Cherry Kay Smith and Leisa Hutchison (David); uncle, David Witty (Leigh); and cousins, Ben Hutchison and Brandon Witty. He was known and mourned by a host of extended family and friends who will remember his vibrant energy and generous spirit.

Hunter was preceded in death by his father, James H. Witty; his maternal grandparents, Cyrus and Evelyn Smith; and his paternal grandparents, Buster and Marie Witty. Their memory remains woven through the life and legacy he leaves behind.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, and Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.

Hunter’s life, marked by laughter, love for the outdoors, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear, will be remembered with deep respect and affection. His spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
