Brenda Sue Stout
SMITHS GROVE – Brenda Sue Stout, 79, passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, in the ER at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Morris Matthews and Cloteel Elizabeth Shipley Matthews. She was a retired hairdresser.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Brandy Cowles (John Moore) and Cheyenne Rogers (John Rogers); three great-grandchildren, Joanna Graves, Stephen Sprowls, and Lee Luke Rogers.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marty Lee Stout; one daughter, Lisa Jo Mutter; two brothers; and two sisters.
The family has chosen cremation with no services planned at this time. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
