Elvin Borders

GLASGOW – Elvin Borders, 81, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, at his residence. Born January 30, 1942, at Railton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Edna Mutter Borders. He was a farmer and a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two daughters, Dana Salley and husband Rusty, and Michele Ellis and husband William, Jr.; six grandchildren, Natasha Smith (Christopher), Benjamin Borders (Ashley), Alyce Henry (David), Brooke Holman (Sidney), Logan Ellis, and Lauren White (Patrick); one sister, June Meador; fourteen great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Trandall Borders and his wife Jackie; and one sister, Andrea Kinslow.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
