Patty Jean Bailey

GLASGOW – Patty Jean Bailey, 82, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at her residence. She was born July 17, 1941, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Robert Jones and Erma Nabors Jones. Patty worked in banking most of her life and eventually retired as a Branch Manager. She loved working on houses and was an incredible decorator. Patty also loved painting, crocheting, landscaping, and dogs, especially her late, Bailey and her current friend, Rusty. She was formerly a member of Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church and joined Glasgow Baptist Church in 2014. She was always taking care of people she loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her loving husband, Marshall Bailey; one son, Mike Steenbergen; one grandchild, Blake Steenbergen (Mary); one great-grandchild, Michael Dean Steenbergen; two stepchildren, Cheryl Page (Ricky), Joe Donald Dickson (Sheila); five step-grandchildren, Brittany Pooser (Ben), Whitney McVeigh (Ham), Tommy Dickson (Annie), Andy Dickson (Megan), Ashley Dickson; and four step-great-grandchildren, Jay Henry McVeigh, Tristan Riley Pooser, Oliver Riley Dickson, and Simon David Dickson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Courtney Mae Steenbergen; one stepchild, David Dickson; and one step grandchild, Tristan Page.

The funeral service for Mrs. Bailey will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Glasgow Baptist Church with burial in the Lick Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until time for the service at the church. A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.     Greatly saddened to hear of Patty’s passing. I have many fond memories. Sincere condolences to all of her family. May her strong faith in the Lord extend to each of you and give peace and comfort at this time. I know she will be greatly missed. I am sorry I am unable to express my love in person. Love Judy
