David Lowell Simmons
GLASGOW – David Lowell Simmons, 76, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at his residence. He was born November 1, 1947, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late James E. Simmons and Beatrice Barbour Simmons. David was a proud United States Army veteran and retired from Eaton. After retirement, David spent his time doing something he loved, golfing and working on the golf course. He also loved spending time with his precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. David was a devoted member of Temple Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Brad Simmons; four grandchildren, Clay, Blake, Luke, and Aria Simmons; two great-grandchildren, Tripp and Berkley Simmons; one sister, Betty Hopkins; three brothers, Delmer, Danny, and Tony Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brian Simmons; one sister, Emma Lou Pendygraft; and five brothers, James Robert, Roger, Bill, Kenneth, and Leroy Simmons.
The funeral service for Mr. Simmons will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 20, 2023, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Barbour Simmons Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by DAV Chapter #20. Visitation will be on Sunday afternoon from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
