Robert “Butch” Leon Martin
GLASGOW – Robert “Butch” Leon Martin, 71, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center. He was born in Barren County, Kentucky on May 22, 1952, to the late William Cleon Martin and Angie Beatrice Mitchell Martin. In his early years, Butch was a truck driver and worked for RR Donnelley. Later, he started detailing cars and absolutely loved it. He was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church and adored his precious grandchildren.
Survivors include his four daughters, Kathy Franklin (Steveo), Melissa Depp (Doug), Sonya Woodard (Nickie), and April Morrison; eight grandchildren, Kenisha Franklin, Steven Franklin, Matthew Depp, Jihler Morrison, Janiyah Morrison, Cainin Woodard, Abbigail Depp, Braxton McCoy; five siblings, Cleon “Pete” Martin, Bruce Martin (Sheila), Teresa Curd, Tillie Slayton, Mary Ann Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his significant other, Genice Morrison; and two brothers, Billy Joe and Mark Martin.
The funeral service for Mr. Martin will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 18, 2023, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday afternoon from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
