The Metcalfe County Homemakers held their annual Soup Luncheon last Wednesday. Many in the community look forward to the event, because of the delicious homemade soups and deserts plus the chance to get together and chat while helping a worthy cause.
Those in attendance had the choice of soups: potato, vegetable, white bean, or chili along with a variety of sides: cornbread, crackers, cheese, etc. lemonade or tea, and a wide variety of delicious homemade desserts to choose from.
The silent auction offers a nice little pre-Christmas browsing for everyone and you can find wonderful little homemade treasures too.
The event benefits the University of KY Ovarian Cancer Research and Screening Project.
