Scott Jeffry Smith

GLASGOW – Scott Jeffry Smith, 58, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023, at VA Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Jeffry Smith and Fern Belford Kurtz Smith. He was in the U.S. Navy and served his Country in the Desert Shield. He was a Catholic and previously worked as a speech therapist.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Hutchinson Smith; daughter, Abigail Smith; brother, Ray Benedict; sister, Michele Cooper; uncle, David Kertz (Wanda); and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Benedict.

A Funeral Mass will be scheduled at a later date. Family request in lieu of flowers, to make donations to The Wounded Warrior Project and the Fischer House Foundation at Fisherhouse.org. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
