Robert P. Lane 86, of Horse Cave, passed away

Robert P. Lane, age 86, of Horse Cave, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his home. He was a native of Metcalfe County and a member of Joyners Chapel Church. He enjoyed farming and trucking. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by one son, Robert Brent Lane; two daughters, Fredia Lane and Jenny Herald; his parents, Joseph Paul Lane and Virginia Lee Young.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Roberta Lane; two daughters, Carol Sturgeon (Edward) and Deborah Tutor (David Page); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Lee Nunn; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at Immanuel Ministry Church on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with burial to follow in the Lane Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2-7 PM and from 9 AM until time of service. Visitation and services will be held at Immanuel Ministry Church.
