A Glasgow man was arrested on Friday, September 22, after robbing US Bank in Glasgow.

The Glasgow Police Department said in a news release that they responded to the bank at 100 Wall Street for a robbery in progress.

Adam J. Wood, 42, was identified by police and he “confirmed that he had entered the bank handing the teller a note that stated, ‘I have a gun, give me $500.00,'” according to the news release.

Customers were inside the bank at the time and the teller gave Wood the money before walking out the front door. The stolen money was recovered and there were no injuries.

Wood was arrested by Officer Ross Roderick and charged with first-degree robbery and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. Several other officers with GPD assisted.
