Hornet Hot Streak Continues

Metcalfe traveled to Hidden Hills in Tompkinsville last Tuesday for the 16th district golf tournament. Led by Collin Shive with a team best 39, the Hornets finished first in the five-team district. Metcalfe turned in a tournament best team score of 164, narrowly defeating Cumberland and Monroe at 165. Ben Shirley (40), Kruz Tucker (41), and Noah Emmitt (44) also turned in qualifying scores. Collin’s 39 tied for best individual round, sending him into a five-man playoff. Collin would finish second in the playoff, bringing home an award for individual district runner-up.

The Hornets continue to stay hot, now having won their conference and district tournaments as they head into the region tournament on Tuesday.
