George Reeves Davis

GLASGOW – George Reeves Davis, 96, passed into his heavenly home at Signature Health Care surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, September 14, 2023. George was born on March 10, 1927, in Hermitage Springs, Tennessee, to the late Brit Davis and late Vera Lee (Reeves) Davis. George was a faithful member at the Glasgow Baptist Church.

George was a World War II Veteran. After his time spent in the military he spent his career as manager of JJ Newberry’s in Glasgow, KY until it closed, and he then worked part-time at George J’s.

He is survived by his nieces, Patricia Mosby, Jackie Kingrey (Ronnie), and Peggy Hiser (Ray) all of Glasgow, Kentucky, and Sharon Reeves (Jim) of Charleston, Indiana.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by five brothers; two sisters; and the love of his life ,Ruby Harlan.

Services for Mr. Davis will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 16, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M., Saturday, September 16th, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home until time for the service.
