Mallie Maedell Love Walker

EDMONTON – Mallie Maedell (Love) Walker, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Metcalfe County Health Care Center. She was born on Thursday, January 10, 1929, the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Grider) Love. Mrs. Walker was a Christian, member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ, and was a long time Teller at the Edmonton State Bank.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Harbert Russell Walker, whom she wed on Wednesday, March 23, 1955; siblings, Adrie Love, Bob Love, Aileen Durette, Patsy Sims, and Preston Love.

She is survived by her children, Becky (Cree) Nutter, Jerry (Linda) Walker, Barry (Kathleen) Walker; grandchildren, Rachel Walker, Elizabeth (Joey) Davis, Sarah Walker, Julie Walker, Laura (Josh) Nagode; great-grandchildren, Renn Davis, Walker Davis, Bowen Nagode, Elsie Nagode; along with many other family members and many friends.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Mallie Maedell (Love) Walker will be conducted on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2023, after 5:00 p.m. and again on Saturday after 7:00 a.m. until time for the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ Cemetery Fund and may be left at the funeral home. Butler Funeral home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Walker.
