William Carroll Hare
GLASGOW – William Carroll Hare, 80, entered into his heavenly home, on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Horace and Zelma Morgan Hare. He was a retired Industrial Engineer from Mallory Capacitor, a veteran of the Kentucky National Guard. He was an avid UK Fan and a lover of all sports. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild very much.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Turner Hare; two daughters, Candi Howard (Brian) and Lisa Robertson (Troy); eleven grandchildren, Stephen Howard, Blake Howard, Kaylie Goad (Colin) Noah Howard, Will Robertson, Gracie Robertson, Truett Robertson, Destiny, Henry, Harmonie, and Graceson; one great-grandson, Cason Goad; three sisters, Lillian Broady, Linda Ford (Jim), and Gina Circle; one sister-in-law, Connie Hare; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Hare; one brother, Larry Hare, and two brothers-in-law, Mike Broady and Mack Circle.
The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home and after 9:00 am Tuesday until time for services.
