Hornets would come out firing Friday night at Edmonson County. Despite stalling on their opening drive, Keegan Williams would send a monster punt down to the one-yard line. After a quick three and out the Wildcats would be backed up, punting out of their own end zone. Byron Kirkland-Lundy would take advantage, blocking the wildcat punt, and setting up a Mason Estes rushing TD.
Mason would tack on two more rushing touchdowns for the Hornets. Lundy would add a rushing touchdown of his own for Metcalfe. Lundy would put the game on ice with a 61-yard pick-six for Metcalfe with 20 seconds remaining in the fourth, sending the Hornets to victory, 34-20.
The Hornets will look to continue their winning ways in front of a packed crowd at home this week against the Campbellsville Eagles.
