Mary Ann Bunch

GLASGOW – Mary Ann Bunch, 83, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at NHC Health Care Center. Born at Temple Hill on January 30, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Ray Smith and Grace Word Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Temple Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three children, Cheryl Soards (Tony) of Glasgow, Charlie Bunch (Carrie) of Lake Mary, Florida, and Jeff Bunch (Ellen) of Franklin, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Nick Soards (Jamie), Ryan Soards (Jennifer), Nolan Bunch, Molly Bunch (Grant), William Bunch, Luke Bunch (Taylor), and Katie Bunch; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Soards and Cooper Soards; one step-great-grandchild, Lauren Stinson; one step-great-great-grandchild, Oakleigh Bryant; one sister, Joyce Coulter; two sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Smith and Joyce Shives; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford Samuel Bunch; two sisters, Marie Jenkins and Ruth Compton; and by four brothers, John David Smith, Robert Smith, George Basil “Barjack” Smith, and Lennie Ray Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
