Dalton Lyle Hodges
SUMMER SHADE – Dalton Lyle Hodges, 88, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Hospice House in Bowling Green. He was born July 24, 1935, to the late Bernard Hodges and Elsie Branstetter Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a United States Army veteran and an avid farmer.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Linda Hodges of Summer Shade; four children, Tim (Kaye) Hodges, Richard Hodges (Betsy Smith), Joey Hodges, and Lonnie Hodges all of Summer Shade; grandchildren, Katie (Jason) McMurtrey and Kelsie (Tyler) Garmon; great-grandchild, Averie Garmon; sister, Rose Garrett; brothers, Loyd Hodges and Roger (Darlene) Hodges; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Kessler.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Chris Hodges; and sisters, Ruth Ferguson and Bonnie Kessler.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at White Cemetery Chapel with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday August 25, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. at White Cemetery Chapel until time of service.
