Anna Katherine Honeycutt

GLASGOW – Anna Katherine Honeycutt, 87, passed away in the first hour of August 18, 2023, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. Ann was born in Big Meadow, KY on September 19, 1935. She was the daughter of Marshall and Magdalene Byrd. On December 1, 1951, she married Eugene Honeycutt (deceased) and they lived together in Hiseville, KY. They both worked for Strader’s Dairy farm and Ann was also a valued employee of Hiseville Elementary School for many years.

Ann was a devout follower of Christ and attended church all of her healthy adult years. She was a member of Living Faith Church. Ann is preceded in death by her parents Marshall and Magdalene Byrd; her husband Willie Eugene Honeycutt; her two sons, Frankie and Jerry Honeycutt; five brothers and seven sisters.

Ann is survived by three daughters, Patricia Dyer (Jerry), Geraldine Sherfey (Marty), and Tammie Davidson, all of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Katina Harper (Barry), Chris Sherfey (Gina), and Tiffany Dawn Smith (Eric); two great-grandchildren, Jessica Harper and Ryder Lee Sherfey; one sister, Alveda Jessie of Glasgow; and her little dog, Precious.

The family wishes to extend deep gratitude to her devoted caregiver Stephanie Mosley of Edmonton, KY. Ma’s strength, energetic personality, and love will live on in our hearts until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
