Harold Evans Sherfey

GLASGOW – Harold Evans Sherfey, 80, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at his residence. He was born November 2, 1942, in Tompkinsville, to the late Charlie Andrew Sherfey and the late Marie Wood Sherfey. Harold was a truck driver for over 40 years and loved coaching softball in his free time. He was a lifelong member of Dover Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Francis Sherfey; three sons, Todd Sherfey, Timmy Sherfey (Debbie), Terry Sherfey (Sharon); one daughter, Tammy Sherfey (Denise); nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carlie Sherfey, and Richard Sherfey (Kathy); two sisters, Peggy Joyce Jones (Earl) and Charlene Jackson (Ernie).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Tracy Allen Sherfey; one brother, Mike Sherfey; two sisters, Barbara Jean Wood and Wanda Faye Sherfey; two sisters-in-law, Peggie Sherfey and Betty Sherfey.

A graveside service for Mr. Sherfey will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, at Poplar Log Cemetery.
