Rondyl Gene Stephens
GLASGOW – Rondyl Gene Stephens, age 73, formerly of Edmonton, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. Mr. Stephens was born in Edmonton, Kentucky on Friday, November 11, 1949, the son of Finis and Beaulah (Froedge) Stephens. He attended Cedar Flat Church in his younger years. Mr. Stephens was well loved by all that knew him, and was a delight to be around.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Elizabeth Shirley and Martha Bragg; brothers-in-law, Ron Lytle, Bobby Shirley, and Bill Bragg; nephews, David Cross, Bobby Joe Lenord; half-siblings, Theman, Raymond, and Robert Stephens, Vera Mae Dubree, and Vada Lawless.
He is survived by his siblings, James Stephens, Jimmy Stephens, Jessie Stephens, Marie Lytle, and Mary (Dennis) Fancher; along with several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, along with a host of other family and many, many friends who mourn his passing.
The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home, with burial in the Cedar Flatt Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 29, 2023, after 9 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
