Last Wednesday, the Edmonton – Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Momma T’s restaurant in Summer Shade.
The owners Chris and Tonya Turner, and the crew at Momma T’s welcomed a good crowd despite the rainy weather. There was standing room only inside and out as the group gathered beneath the overhang to escape the rain during the ribbon-cutting photo.
Momma T’s serves the same home cooking (including curly q’s) that Tonya, Chris, and the crew previously served at Pappy’z Restaurant and you can eat in or get food to-go.
The restaurant is open for breakfast every morning and each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday is BBQ plus all the sides and desserts. They are open Monday – Saturday 5 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m. Give them a call at 270-428-3854.
Momma T’s is located at 2305 Summer Shade Road in Summer Shade.

These people are absolutely awesome, the food is fantastic and definitely affordable…I knew them all through Pappy’z, and am so proud that they’ve bought the old ANNE’S and brought it back to life……I pray they stay right where they are for many years ahead. Good luck to my favorite peoples!!!
