Wanda Kay Smith

GLASGOW – Wanda Kay Smith, 70, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at her residence. She was born on April 27, 1953, to the late Benjamin and Christine Wright Patrick. She was a homemaker who had a great sense of humor and a love for shopping. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she was able to spend in caring for her granddaughter, Brittany.

Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Myers (Phillip); three grandchildren, Brittany Myers, Corey Myers, and Katlyn Myers (Dillion Busey); four great-grandchildren, Nollan Grey Busey, Kayson Ray Busey, Matthew, and Rosie Myers; two brothers, William Patrick and Daryl Patrick (Marla); three sisters, Anna Francis Houchens (Billy), Janie McCorkle (David), and Marcella Frazier; a special nephew, David Patrick (Becky); special cousins, Louise Houchens (Eugene) and Charles Patrick; along with several other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Billy Ray Smith; a son, Billy Ray Smith Jr.; a sister, Doris Ann Patrick; and her parents-in-law, Delsie and Arthur Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated toward funeral expenses and should be made directly to the funeral home.
