James Earl Johnson
GLASGOW – James Earl Johnson, 92, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Glenview Health Care Center. He was a son of the late Samuel Burris Johnson and Rose Abo Johnson. He was attending Coral Hill Church of Christ.
He is survived by one son, Gary Michael Johnson (Jane); one daughter, Deborah Joan Hamilton; six grandchildren, Daniel Brent Johnson (Amy), Lance Lee Hamilton (Julie), Benjamin Garrett Johnson, Scott Turner, Lucas Layne Johnson (Jenna); several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Dillingham (Ray) and Eva Spencer; a special friend, Charlotte Haley; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florine Polson Johnson; one grandson, Michael Bradley Johnson; three brothers, Buck Johnson, Albert Johnson, and Gene Johnson; three sisters, Louise Turner, Evelyn Johnson, and Lenora Parker.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial at the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 am Sunday until time for services at the funeral home.
