Garland Eugene Green

SMITHS GROVE – Garland Eugene Green, 86,  passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was born June 13, 1937, in Finney, Kentucky to the late James Garland Green and Lillie Mae Green.

Garland was an extremely hard worker and farmed his entire life. He loved bird and squirrel hunting and spending time with his three granddaughters. Garland was a lifelong member of Woodland United Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Rebecca Haynes Green; one son, David Green; one daughter, Shirley Green; three granddaughters, Lillie, Quincy, and Emmie Green; three special nephews, Bryant, Ronnie, and Tommy Green; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twelve siblings.

A graveside service for Mr. Green will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Henderson Cemetery in Finney, Kentucky.
