Gary Walther “Stump” Meredith
LOUISVILLE – Gary Walter “Stump” Meredith, age 71, departed this life on July 2, 2023, at Norton Audobon Hospital. The Edmonson County native was born on December 26, 1951, to the late Walter Meredith and Norah Rea Decker Meredith. He was married to Darlene Mae Meredith, who also preceded him in death.
Gary was the owner of Murph’s Beer Depot, and was employed as a heater for American Standard. He was a member of Jock United Baptist Church.
He leaves to honor his memory, Toby Meredith (fiance’ Jayme Bray) of Louisville; grandson, Axl Meredith; step-daughter, Crystal Mattingly (Tom) of Paoli, IN; sister, Carrie Meredith Ragland (Garry) of Bee Spring; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Carla Eden Keith.
