William Edward “Ed” Davis
GLASGOW – William Edward “Ed” Davis, 82, died Saturday, July 1, 2023, at his residence. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Charlie Willard Davis and Angie Mae Huff Davis. He was the owner of a tree service and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include six children, Cynthia Holmes (Danny), Patricia French (Kent), Christine Davis, Tina Shugart (Robert), Lori Jackson, and James Davis; two brothers, Donald R. Davis, Sr. and Ronald M. Davis; two sisters, Betty Lou England and Carolyn Sue Payton; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Jackson Davis; one granddaughter, Brittany Shugart; one brother, Raymond Davis; and two sisters, Ruby Hagan and Jean Faulkner.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
