Robert Britt

GLASGOW – Robert Britt, age 96, passed away Saturday July 1, 2023, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow KY. Robert was born on May 19, 1927, to the late John Britt and the late Lizzie (Wheeler) Britt. Mr. Britt was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, farming, and horseback riding.

He is survived by his sons, Darrell Britt and Kevan Britt (Lisa); daughters, Theresa Britt and Rita Britt-Johnson; grandchildren, Robin Bartley (Kelvin), Monica Bledsoe (Brent); step granddaughters, Jacqueline Huguley, Kristi Kinslow, Kendra Lider-Johnson; great-grandchildren, Trevor Bartley, Elli Bartley, Arianna Bledsoe, Aidan Bledsoe, Sadie Bledsoe; step great-grandchildren, Jobe Walker, Gabriel Walker, Zoe Huguley, George Wolfe, Elizabeth Wolfe; one brother-in-law, Paul D. Elmore (Bonnie); sister-in-law, Jane Britt; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, LaVerne (Elmore) Britt; six brothers, Jack Britt (Sis), Trulon Britt, Albert Britt (Ernestine), Reid Britt (Dorotha), Geralds Britt (Madge), and Jay C. Britt (Jane); three sisters, Dinah Turner (Charlie), Flossie Burd (Hermon), and Maxine Hagan (Dillard).

The funeral service for Mr. Britt will be held at 2:00 PM. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday July 5th from 4:00 PM. until 8:00 PM. and Thursday morning until time for the service.
