James Stanley Keeton
GLASGOW – James Stanley “Jimmy” Keeton, 68, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Arthur Simmons and Vianna Keeton Simmons. He had been a maintenance worker for Borders Monument Company for many years and attended the Glasgow Faith Church.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly; three children, Brandi Despain (Brandon), Christy Compton (Dylan), and James B. Keeton all of Glasgow; five grandchildren, Ivory Stinnett, Dalton Despain, Landon Despain, Braydon Ballard, and Cadence Knuckles; two great-grandchildren, Jaxson Despain and Oaklee Despain; two brothers, Harvey Simmons and James Simpson; five sisters, Eunice Slayton, Gail Etherton, Lisa Wyatt, Marlene Franklin, and Sandy Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Keeton and David Simmons.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
