Roberta McCombs Bean

PIG – Roberta McCombs Bean, age 92, departed this life on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. The Edmonson County native was born on January 13, 1931 to the late Elic McCombs and Lena Spillman McCombs. She was married to her husband of seventy-two years, Douglas Bean, until they were parted by death.

Roberta was an accountant for Sears, and a member of Lehman Avenue Church of Christ. Roberta loved to read, enjoy her pets, and watching nature.

She leaves to honor her memory– one son, Gary Bean (Theresa); grandchildren, Chris Bean (Selena), Michael Bean (Monica), Jason Bean (Lauren), Steven Bean (Ashley); daughter-in-law, Debbie Bean; sister-in-law, Pat McCombs; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Bean; grandson, Kevin Bean; and brother Jackie McCombs.

Memorial contributions can be made to: Hospice of Southern Kentucky, American Cancer Society, or to the American Diabetes Associations.

Services will be private.
