Eva Watkins Lynn
SUMMER SHADE – Eva Watkins Lynn, 93, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023, at Monroe County Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1930, to the late Lin Watkins and Betsy Watkins.
Mrs. Lynn was a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ. She loved to make quilts, read, and travel.
She is survived by four daughters, Mayme (Darnell) Hunter, Shirley Killman, and Carolyn Yvonne Lynn (Berry) Lawson all of Summer Shade, and Rita Gammon of Lafayette, TN; one son, Otis Mitchell Lynn of Summer Shade; fourteen grandchildren, Robbie (Teddy) Chapman, Jeffery (Renea) Hunter, Donald (Stacey) Hunter, Tammi (Kenyon) Wallace, Kristi (Don) Jones, Amanada (Marty) Bailey, James Thomas Lawson “JT”, Linzy (Brad) Matthews, Kevin Hauskins, Jamie (Chris) Farley, Haylee (Thomas) Scruggs, Jon-Erik Lynn, Ethan Wayne (Christina) Lynn, and Erica Dawn Lynn; eighteen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George Lynn; brother, Hargus Watkins; two sisters, Jewell Armer and Reva Evans; and son-in-law, Paul Killman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at White Cemetery Chapel, with burial in the White Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home and on Wednesday, 9:00 A.M. at White Cemetery Chapel until time of service.
