The sunshine and the heat kicked into high gear for Summerfest on June 3rd, but the crowd didn’t disappoint. This year’s new event Metcalfe Idol brought out many talented people in Metcalfe County along with live performances by Bryant Stockton, The Showstoppers, and Little David and Bad Country. Vendor booths offered many handcrafted items, the children enjoyed the bouncy house and the bungee jump, and a good selection of food trucks were on site.
Robert Robertson of Kenova, WV traveled the farthest to attend this year’s car show on his 2009 black and yellow Harley Heritage Soft Tail motorcycle.
The Chamber of Commerce wants to thank the Metcalfe County Cheerleaders for hosting the Car Show and a thank you to Tareena Slone, Metcalfe County KFB Agent for sponsoring the event!
