Georgia Pearl Estes
GLASGOW – Georgia Pearl Estes, age 92, went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 9, 2023, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow. She was born in Park City on January 19, 1931, to the late Otis Estes and the late Lorine (Denton) Estes. She was retired from Mammoth Cave Garment and a member of Hillside Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, JoAnn Howell (James) and Betty Willams (Minnis) both off Glasgow. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Wayne Huges (Diane) of Cordyn, Kentucky, Mike Howell (Barbara), Eric Williams (Tammy), Becky England (Timmy), and Rene Thompson (David) all of Glasgow. She is also survived by 11 great-nieces and nephews and 7 great-great-nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Our beloved sister and aunt Georgia was always full of life. She enjoyed her time with family teaching all of the grandchildren how to aggravate and play rook. She loved wearing jewelry and having her nails done. Georgia was the life of the party. You could always count on her for a good laugh and a spunky come back.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Leola Salley; and one brother in law, Raleigh Salley.
A funeral service to celebrate her life and rejoicing of her entrance into Heaven will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, and Wednesday morning until time for the service.
A.F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted with the care of Ms. Estes
I treasure times spent with Georgia Pearl and Aunt Lorene in their home in Cave City.
May God comfort her family.
