Elizabeth Ann Coomer
CAVE CITY – Elizabeth Ann Coomer, 82, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Frances Pardue Pierce. She was saved at Big Meadow Baptist Church and then baptized at Slick Rock Creek. She was a retired employee of Quality Inn in Cave City.
Survivors include two children, Beth Oyler of Elkton, Kentucky and Jim Coomer and his wife Debra of Bowling Green; a daughter-in-law, Denise Coomer of Florence, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Megan Hill, Charlie Coomer, Seth Coomer, Matt Coomer, Daniel Coomer, Madison Coomer, and James Crane; one sister, Glenda P. Eaton (Larry); two brothers, Gary Pierce (Rita) and Don Pierce (Kay); several great-grandchildren; nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Terrill Coomer; one son, Doug Coomer; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Pauline Coomer; one great-grandson, Ethan James Coomer; and one sister, Norma Jean Sexton.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023,at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
