Rev. Dan Hogan

HORSE CAVE – Rev. Dan Hogan, age 71, departed this life on Monday, May 29, 2023, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville. The Jefferson County native was born on June 27, 1951, to the late Rev. Roy Hogan, Sr. and Jenell White Hogan. He was married to his devoted wife Glenda Gail Hogan, until they were parted by her death on January 24, 2017.

Rev. Dan was a member of Nolin United Baptist Church.  He worked for twenty-eight years as a custodian and over twenty-four years as a bus driver for Hart County Board of Education. Through the years, Rev. Dan pastored ten churches in Grayson, Edmonson, Warren, Hart, and Jefferson counties. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord, and helping others to get saved and get established in church.

He leaves to honor his memory— two children, Troy Hogan of Bowling Green and Crystal Elmore (Chris) of Munfordville; grandchildren, Megan Hogan of Hendersonville, TN, Addison Groce, and Levi Groce both of Horse Cave; and brothers, Ricky Hogan (Gail) of Brownsville, and Rod Hogan of Russellville. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Hogan.

Interment will be in the Nolin Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Nolin Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Kevin Jordan, 45 Newkirk Road, Brownsville, KY  42210.

VISITATION: 11 AM, Thursday, June 1, 2023, until the time of the funeral service at Nolin United Baptist Church

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 AM, Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Nolin United Baptist Church
