Dickie Gene Saltsman

BEE SPRINGS – Dickie Gene Saltsman, age 76, departed this life on  Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his home. The Edmonson County native was born on  June 22, 1946, to the late Bro. Willard and Ivil Meredith Saltsman.  He was preceded in death by his companion, Virginia Jewell.

Dickie Gene was a former lineman for P&E Electric and was a member of Anneta United Baptist Church.  He loved horseback riding, fox hunting, and barrel racing.  Dickie Gene wasn’t superficial and was a very loyal family member, friend, and neighbor to those he loved most.

He leaves to honor his memory– his children, Allen Rich, Elena Kay Saltsman, Robert Saltsman, Douglas Saltsman, Shane Saltsman (Jamie) all of Bee Spring, and Amanda Jewell Lindsey of Bowling Green; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; siblings, Mickey Saltsman (Linda) of South, Doris Ann Harrison (Scotty) of Lindseyville, Dula Van Stewart (William Earl) of South, Margie Marie Decker (Lambert) of Leitchfield, Willetta Mattingly (Kendall) of Leitchfield, and Kimberli McGuffey (Rob) of Bee Spring; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his daughter, Jeannie Renee Vincent.

VISITATION : 3 PM Thursday, June 1, 2023—until the time of the funeral service at Anneta United Baptist Church

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 AM, Friday, June 2, 2023, at Anneta United Baptist Church
