Lunch with a Lineman

“He may have intended to have lunch alone, but he indeed did not,” said Kinley Denton of FRECC lineman Isaac Jones. Denton’s three-year-old daughter, Blakely, joined Jones for lunch after spying his work shirt that was like her “Uncle Tyler’s.” Photo submitted.

When Farmers RECC lineman Isaac Jones chose to have lunch at Wigwam General Store, he had no clue he was about to meet a big fan.
Three-year-old Blakely Blair Embry was already at Wigwam having lunch with her mother, Kinley Denton.
Blakely’s uncle, Tyler Bratcher, is also a lineman for Farmers RECC, so Blakely was immediately drawn to Jones.
Spying his shirt as soon as he walked in, Denton explained that Blakely immediately identified it as “Uncle Tyler’s work.”
“When we sat down, she went over to him (Jones) and asked if he knew her Uncle Tyler,” said Denton. “He told her yes, and he called Tyler to prove it.”
Blakely returned to her mother’s table for a minute, and then she asked Denton if it would be okay to go sit with him.
“I responded with yes, and the rest was history,” said Denton. “She stayed and talked while he ate his lunch, and then she had some ice cream herself. They hugged each other bye when we left.”
Farmers RECC said, “We are so glad she had a good lunch! We think Isaac did, too!”
Denton also added a personal message at the end of her social media post: “Thank a lineman today. They do so much for you!”
