William Edwards Yates
EDMONTON – William Edwards Yates, 77, passed away May 4, 2023, at the Metcalfe Healthcare Center. Born July 17, 1945, the son of John Edward and Mary (Jones) Yates. He is a Navy Veteran, and was a well loved man. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Naomi (James) Cannon of Liverpool, New York; nieces, Vicky Simmons, Alicia (Richard) Billingsley, and Torka Cannon; along with many friends.
The funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home, with burial in the Yates Cemetery in Metcalfe County. The family will receive friends after 2:00 P.M. on Thursday until time for the service.
