Mary Lois Cross Clark

EDMONTON – Mary Lois (Cross) Clark, 85, passed into her Eternal Home on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the home of her granddaughter, Emily (Daniel), and great-granddaughter, Baylee Coffey. Born to the late Vera Bray Cross and Harley Cross, Mary Lois was born on February 18, 1938.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Gayle Saltsman, and Doris Jean Cross. Mary also known as “Mema,” was a member of Grace Union Baptist Church. She loved her Church, and family, keeping her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and had a passion for helping other people, especially by baking her favorite cakes and desserts.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie (David) Smith of Edmonton, with whom she resided for five years, Becky (Gerry) Bowman of Temple Hill; and a son, David (Theresa) Clark of Tallahassee, Florida; grandchildren, Christy (Chris) Bartley, Emily (Daniel) Coffey, Ashley (Richie) Thompson, Laura (Nic) Hervey, Travis Bowman, Andrea Clark (Mark Starling), and Courtney (Tyler) Dubre;  great-grandchildren, Taylor (Nick) Fields, Becca Bartley, Baylee Coffey, Chapel and Rhett Thompson, Jace, Aubriana, and Carter Hervey, Cooper, and Connor Dubre; a sister, Shelia (Ronnie) Saltsman of Glasgow; nephews, Jeff (Carrie) Saltsman, Anthony; and great nephew, Will Saltsman; a niece, Kim McGuire, and a nephew, Timmy (Sandy) Saltsman all of Glasgow. Mary Lois loved a host of friends she made wherever she lived, worked, and worshipped.

While the cherished matriarch of our family is at home now with her Savior, we will all carry on and live out her legacy of love, service, kindness, and friendship.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday. May 03, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. and after 8:00 A.M. on Wednesday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hosparus Health of Barren River in Mrs. Clark’s memory.
