Murlene Bradley Brewer
GLASGOW – Murlene Bradley Brewer, 82, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at Glasgow Signature Healthcare. She was the daughter of the late Burks and Lovie Dice Bradley.
Ms. Bradley was a retired factory worker and lately had been a participant in the Foster Grandparent Program. She joined the Allen Seminary Baptist Church and was also at one time a member of Mt. Gilboa as well as Pleasant Union Baptist churches. She loved to read and sing with her favorite song being “Trouble in My Way”. She had been a member of the Golden Songbirds, Golden Aires, Angelic Jubilee, the Pastor’s Choir, the Mass Choir, and the Usher Board as well as being a missionary.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Barry Reed; four brothers, Paul Bradley, June Bradley, Steve Bradley, and Thomas Bradley; and two sisters, Georgia Driver, and Gracie Esters.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Terry Reed (Flecia), Charles Reed, and Alex Reed; a special friend Carol Cole; seventeen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Allen Seminary Baptist Church with burial in the Allen Seminary Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
