Donnie Russell Pedigo

GLASGOW – Donnie Russell Pedigo, 55, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was the son of the late James C. and Loretta Chapman Pedigo. He was a 1986 graduate of Barren County High School where he was active in Track and Cross Country.

He served in the US Army from 1986 to 1990 as a flight operation specialist at Fort Benning, GA  and was married to his high school sweetheart for 35 years. A huge fan of UK basketball, he loved to play softball and coaching young people in any sport that he could. He especially loved coaching his sons in little league baseball and soccer. Donnie loved hunting, fishing, camping, and being on the lake with family and friends. He just enjoyed warm weather and being outdoors, he loved making people laugh. He worked for Scotty’s Contracting and Stone as a heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Walden Pedigo; two sons, Kalen Pedigo, and Braden Pedigo; one sister, Velvet Scott (Roger); three brothers, Wesley Pedigo (Sandy), David Pedigo (Debbie), and Joe Pedigo; mother-in-law, Carrol Walden; two sisters-in-law, Tammy Christie (Ricky) and Quinna Walden; several nieces, and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Thelma Pedigo.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and after 9:00 am Monday until the time for services. Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV will provide military honors at the cemetery.
