Metcalfe’s Meadows signs with CU
By T.J. Morgan, Freelance Sports Writer
Metcalfe County Senior Luke Meadows signed with Campbellsville University football last Friday. Luke helped lead the Hornets to a 12-1 record and one of the best seasons in school history this year. Behind Luke’s defense, the Hornets gave up less than two touchdowns per game. Luke led the defensive line with 63 tackles this season, totaling 192 in his career. Even more impressive, nearly half of his tackles this season, 30.5, were for loss, good enough for second in the state, and totaling 80 in his career. Luke also led the team in sacks, with six, racking up 21 in his time in maroon and white.
Campbellsville is getting a generational player in Luke. Luke will forever live in Hornet folklore, as he had one of the most physically dominating seasons of any Metcalfe defensive player in recent history.
