Cave City Police charge Bobby R. Logsdon for kidnapping and other various charges

Press Release from Cave City Police Department:

On April 10, 2023 at approximately 02:22 AM hours, Cave City Police was dispatched to the area of Mammoth Cave Road for a possible impaired driver in a Red Ford Ranger pickup with a subject leaning out of the driver’s side door.

Upon contact with the vehicle Officer Stoney Phillips observed a male subject standing on the running board on the driver’s side.

A traffic stop was performed on the vehicle, where it was observed that the male subject identified as Bobby R. Logsdon was holding a knife to the victim female drivers throat.

Logsdon yelled at Officer Phillips to stay back or he would cut her throat, after commands were given to drop the knife, Logsdon then climbed over the female into the passenger seat and made her drive away.

With assistance from the Barren County Sheriffs Deputies, and the Kentucky State Police, the vehicle was stopped again on Happy Valley Street. Whereafter an hour of negotiations, Logsdon handed over the knife that was a tobacco cutting knife to officers and released the female victim.

Bobby R. Logsdon was taken into custody and charged with the following: Kidnapping Adult (Enhancement ), Assault 2nd Degree Domestic Violence ( Enhancement ), Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree ( Enhancement ), Poss Controlled Substance 1st Degree ( Methamphetamine ), and Drug Paraphernalia – Buy / Possess.

Bobby R. Logsdon was lodged in the Barren County Jail under a $50,000.00 dollar bond.
