PARK CITY – Helen Vance Brown, age 82, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Barren County native was born on September 13, 1940, to the late Buford and Vassie Ruth Morgan Vance. She was married to the late Howard Jones and Millard E. Brown.
Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to all. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, gaming, sports, and watching the Game Show Network. Her greatest enjoyment was her family and spending time with them. As a young girl, she was saved and baptized at Samson Street Church of God. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
She leaves to honor her memory— her daughters, Jolene Keith (David) of Park City, Alice Walker of Cave City, and Vetta White (Grover) of Park City; sons, Doyle Jones (Carlene) of Arkansas and Butch Brown (Kellie) of Park City; step-children, Pam Glover and Steve Brown; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Jeff Vance of Park City; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her sons, Marvin Jones and Jason Brown; stepsons, Phillip, Rodney, and Donald Ray Brown; brothers, Bobby and James Vance; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Brown.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
