Fairy Pauline Devore passed away

Fairy Pauline Devore, age 88, was born March 6, 1934, in the Kettle community of Cumberland County to the late James William (Jim) Blakely and Ellen Daniels Blakley. She passed into eternal rest on February 10, 2023 at NHC Healthcare after an extended illness. She grew up in the Coral Hill community of Barren County. She was retired from Glasgow Foods. Before her health prevented it, she attended the Samson Street Church of God.

Fairy is survived by her daughter’s, Brenda England Frazier (Wendell) and Betty England Jones; grandchildren, Jamie Frazier (Whitley), Jennifer Pielemeier (Jay), Charles Jones III (Tarren), and Anthony Jones; great grandchildren, Lynnley Frazier, Charles Jones IV, Evie and Ali Pielemeier, Baby Frazier and Jesse Jones to arrive very soon; her step children, David Devore (Dawn), Miranda and Boston, and Ann Devore-Birge (Christopher); her brothers, Cecil (Julieanne), Arnold (Martha), James (Donita) and Charles Perry Blakely. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Devore; her sisters, Ina Ruth England (Joe Henry), Reba Smith (Dewey) and Bertha Blankenship (Elmer); her brothers, Willie (Falling Leaf), J.B. (Frances), Chester (Charlotte), Odell and Raymond Blakley; the father of her children, Leslie England; step mother, Ludie Blakley; and her sister in law, Clara E. Blakley.

A special thanks to all her caregivers at NHC, where she resided for the past two years and to all the hospice workers and volunteers that helped at the end of her life.

The funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday February 15, 2023 at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with visitation at 10 am morning to 2pm Wednesday. She will be buried in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
