A Glasgow man was arrested for murder after a verbal dispute on Friday night.
Police allege James E. Campbell, 46, shot and killed Roger L. Noland after a verbal dispute sometime before 6:50 p.m. at 1414 North Race Street, according to Glasgow Police Department.
When police arrived, Campbell told officers he had been in a verbal dispute with Noland. Police allege the dispute led to Campbell “discharging his fire arm and striking” the victim.
Noland of Scottsville was transported by the Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Hospital, which is in close proximity to the crime scene, where he was pronounced deceased.
Campbell was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center with a murder charge and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment. He is set to appear in court on Feb. 13.
The case is still under investigation.
Takes a weak * to shoot a man instead of fighting like a man.
