Robert “Bobby” Lee Sharp, 99, of Glasgow, passed away

Robert “Bobby” Lee Sharp, 99, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at NHC Healthcare. He was born October 11, 1923 in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Oscar Sharp and Mona Stout Sharp. Bobby was a WWII United States Army veteran and fought in Germany and France. He worked as a welder all his life in upstate New York, Louisville and Hazard, Kentucky for his nephew, Roy.

Survivors include one daughter, Carol Lockerbie; three grandchildren, Scott Lockerbie (Crissy), Kelli Nichols (Mark), Kristi Goutremout (Ron), all of New York; several great grandchildren; one brother, David Sharp; one sister, Betty Crow; a special nephew, Roy Sharp (Sue); several nieces and nephews; and one special great niece, Micki Bagby (Robert).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean Sharp; one son-in-law, Lucky Lockerbie; one brother, Roy Stanton Sharp; and one sister, Kathryn Ritter.

The family gives a special thank you to NHC Healthcare for their kind and loving care.

The funeral service for Mr. Sharp will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 30th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by DAV Chapter #20 at the funeral home. A. F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted in the care of Mr. Sharp and his family.
