28th Annual Jim C. Coleman Community Service Award

The Edmonton-Metcalfe Chamber of Commerce 2022 Jim C. Coleman Community Service Award was presented to Kim Shirley Smith on Monday evening, November 28th, 2022, at the annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Banquet by Mr. Herb Sparks.
Nominees for this award are evaluated using the following criteria:
* Resident of Metcalfe County
*Exemplifies good moral character & leadership qualities
*Is Service-oriented & has a passion for helping others
*Demonstrates creative or Innovative thinking and/or implements creative or innovative ideas or solutions
*Has made a lasting or meaningful contribution/impact within the community
Kim Smith certainly met all the criteria as a Coleman recipient and will join the names of twenty-seven previous recipients on a plaque that is prominently displayed in the Chamber Office.
The Coleman Award is a prestigious honor that is bestowed upon a worthy recipient each year. Kim has a strong commitment to her country, family, education, and community. She has volunteered countless hours of service to the Metcalfe County Homemakers, Bowling Park, Methodist Church, Historical Society, Chamber of Commerce, and the Metcalfe County Schools.
Kim gives freely of her time, energy, and resources to help make Metcalfe County a better place to live and work. It is only fair to mention that Kim has donated her famous peanut butter fudge to most of the fundraisers held each year in the county.
Congratulations to Kim Shirley Smith and thank you for your commitment to making a difference in the lives you have touched.
