Fall is in the air and it is the time of year when the Homemakers of Metcalfe County roll out the red carpet for the community, inviting them to the annual Soup Luncheon and silent auction.

This year‘s luncheon will be held Wednesday, October 26. It will begin at 10:30 and will go on until 1 o’clock in the afternoon. As always, there will be a variety of homemade soups and chilis along with various soup toppings, cornbread, and homemade desserts. The price per person is $8, and the proceeds go to a great cause.

In addition, a silent auction with lots of local items will be held, and tickets will be sold on a quilt made by the homemakers.

The proceeds from both the luncheon and the auction will go entirely to ovarian cancer research conducted by the University of Kentucky.
