CAVE CITY –  Marjorie Estes Gentry, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2022, surrounded by family at her home. Marjorie was born on September 7, 1927, a daughter of the late Orville and Lona Lucille (Geralds) Estes.  She was a housewife, raising five children and several grandchildren. Marjorie enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family, and was a member of Horse Cave Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Don Gentry, Bruce Gentry and wife Ellen Bale, both of Glasgow, Kentucky, Sarah Gentry Neville and husband Steve, John L. Gentry and wife Andrea, and Susan Gentry Palmore and husband Joey, all of Cave City; thirteen grandchildren, Bryan Gentry (Natalie,) Todd Gentry, Anne Gentry Garratt (Matt,) Lee Gentry (Sergio,) Lynne Gentry Clemmons (Brian,) Les Neville (Ashley,) Greg Neville (Jenny,) Beth Neville Kaumanns (Christian,) Bruce Alan Neville (Bethann,) Makayla Gentry, Makenzie Gentry, Scott Palmore (Sheyenne,) Suzanne Palmore Miller (Rob); twenty-two great-grandchildren with one due in November; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Bryan Gentry; three sisters, Martha Toms, Dee Williams, and Annette Houchens; and one daughter in law, Betty Gentry.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Cave City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, and again on Monday morning after 8:30 a.m. until time for services at 1:00.
