JAMES BENJAMIN “JB” HARDIN

GLASGOW – James Benjamin “JB” Hardin, 75, entered his home in Heaven Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the Tristar Centennial Hospital. He was born in Glasgow on February 6, 1947, to the Late Roy Johnson and Arah Dane Hardin (Bartley). JB retired from Eaton Axle and was a longtime member of the Refuge Christ of Christ.

JB devoted his life to serving others. There’s not a child within 100 miles that didn’t get a sucker, a piece of candy, or a one-dollar bill from his pocket. He spent countless years supplying items and gifts to Bridge of Kentucky, local nursing homes, and local family resource centers. His giving heart was unlike any other. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather among many other roles in his life. There is no denying the sweet reunion in heaven with his wife, Shirley. His personality was larger than life and you could guarantee a good story and a hug. Coffee at T’s Market won’t be the same without him there.

Survivors include his son, Joe Hardin (Heather) of Glasgow; two daughters, Tammy Hardin of Temple Hill, and Jackie Hardin of Glasgow; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren including Straddie Simpson and Owen Russell; a special cousin, Sylvia (Charles) South; and his pup, Jamie Edward.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kaye Hardin; a son, James C. Johnson; and a granddaughter, Whitney Kay Johnson.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Monday, October 10, 2022, at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm” and on Monday morning until time for service at the funeral home. A.F. crow & Son Funeral Home is Honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Hardin. Please share your condolence with the family at www.crowfuneralhome.com
